Two held with 9,850 yaba tablets in Dinajpur

RANGPUR, Feb 9, 2026 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested two suspected drug peddlers along with 9,850 pieces of yaba tablets from Ranirbandar Bazar under Chirirbandar police station of Dinajpur district today.
 
The detainees are Mahamudul Hachan, 30, son of Bala Matubbar of village Jangudi and Md Raju Pramanik, 42, son of late Alam Pramanik of village Beel Gobindpur, both under Nagarkanda police stations of Faridpur district, a press release said tonight. 
 
On a tip off, an operational team of RAB-13's Crime Prevention Company-1 from Dinajpur Camp in a drive searched the bodies of the two persons, seized the drugs and arrested them from the spot at 8:30 am. 
 
After filing a case in this incident, the elite force handed over the seized drugs and the arrested persons to Chirirbandar police station of Dinajpur district, the release added.
