Media centre, hotline services launched for foreign journalists

DHAKA, Feb 9, 2026 (BSS) - To facilitate the professional activities of foreign journalists and media professionals visiting Bangladesh for the Referendum 2026 and the 13th National Parliamentary Elections, the Press Information Department (PID) has set up a Media Centre at Hotel InterContinental in the capital.

According to an official handout issued on Monday, the Media Centre will provide foreign journalists with necessary information and logistical support related to the elections. The facility will remain operational from February 9 to February 13.

In addition, PID has introduced two dedicated hotline services to assist foreign journalists with election-related inquiries and information. The hotline numbers are 48322344 and 48322435.
