JU VC congratulates PM Tarique Rahman

JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, Feb 18, 2026 (BSS) - Jahangirnagar University (JU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan today congratulated Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on assuming office following his party's landslide victory in the 13th national parliamentary election.

In a congratulatory message, the Vice-Chancellor said the assumption of office by the Prime Minister would mark a milestone in the restoration of democratic governance in the country and open a new chapter in ensuring human rights, rule of law and a justice-based state.

He expressed hope that under Tarique Rahman's leadership the nation would achieve remarkable economic progress and emerge internationally as an educated, skilled, hardworking and morally enlightened people.

The VC also hoped the newly formed cabinet, composed of experienced and young members would fulfill people's aspirations in line with the spirit of the Liberation War of 1971 and the July 2024 mass uprising.

He wished the Prime Minister good health and a long, successful tenure.
