DHAKA, Feb 21, 2026 (BSS) - Members of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) paid homage to the language martyrs at the Central Shaheed Minar in the early hours of the historic Ekushey February.

Led by Vice President Mehdi Azad Masum and General Secretary Mainul Hasan Sohel, the DRU Executive Committee placed wreaths at the Shaheed Minar to honor the supreme sacrifice of the language martyrs.

DRU Joint Secretary Zafar Iqbal, Finance Secretary Niaz Mahmud Sohel, Publicity and Publication Secretary Mizan Chowdhury, Cultural Secretary Monowar Hossain, and Executive Members Akhter Hossain and Al-Amin Azad were present, among others.

Earlier today, as a mark of respect, the national flag at the DRU premises was flown at half-mast, accompanied by the hoisting of a black flag.
