Dr Rafiqul visits hospital to see Selima Rahman

DHAKA, Feb 22, 2026 (BSS)- BNP’s Health Affairs Secretary Dr Rafiqul Islam today visited BNP Standing Committee Member Selima Rahman, who is currently undergoing treatment at a city hospital.

Dr Rafiqul Islam inquired about Selima Rahman's physical condition and discussed about her treatment with the attending physicians. 

During this time, he also met with her family members and prayed for her speedy recovery.
According to party sources, Selima Rahman admitted to the hospital with fever, body aches, and a lung infection. 

Later, when she experienced severe pain in her leg and medical tests diagnosed her Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) due to a blood clot in a vein of her leg. 

It has been learned that although her physical condition initially deteriorated, but now her condition is stable following primary treatment.

Her family has sought prayers from the countrymen for Selima Rahman's early recovery.
