
CHATTOGRAM, March 3, 2026 (BSS) - Seven more international flights were cancelled at Shah Amanat International Airport today due to the ongoing war situation in the Middle East.
The airfields in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Doha have reportedly been closed amid the conflict, leading to the suspension of several flight operations from Chattogram.
Airport sources said an arrival flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines from the Middle East was cancelled.
In addition, one departure and one arrival flight of US-Bangla Airlines to and from Middle East were also cancelled. Two departure and two arrival flights operated by Air Arabia were also called off.
However, flight operations to some destinations continued. On Tuesday morning, SalamAir flight AVI-401 from Muscat landed at Shah Amanat International Airport at 8:05 am. The return flight AVI-402 departed for Muscat at 9:15 am with passengers.
Meanwhile, Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight BG-138 from Medinah landed at 8:45 am and later departed for Dhaka at 9:30 am.
Engineer Ibrahim Khalil, Public Relations Officer of Shah Amanat International Airport, said a total of 35 international flights have been cancelled from the airport since February 28 due to the ongoing war in the Middle East.
