NCP to continue struggle to implement reforms: Nahid Islam

DHAKA, March 16, 2026 (BSS) - National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener and Opposition Chief Whip Md. Nahid Islam today said the party will continue its efforts to implement reforms and bring changes in the country.

"We are in favour of reforms, justice and against corruption," he told an iftar and discussion organised by NCP Dhaka North unit at the National Bangla High School ground in the capital's Mirpur this evening.

Nahid also called upon all to remain prepared for the struggle to implement reforms.

Chaired by NCP senior joint convener and Dhaka North convener Ariful Islam Adeeb, it was also addressed by NCP Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari and convener of Jatiya Nari Shakti Monira Sharmin.

Adeeb said the leaders and activists of the Dhaka North unit of the party are ready for the struggle to bring change and implement the July Charter.

The discussion was moderated by member secretary of the Dhaka North unit Sardar Amirul Islam Sagar.
