CHATTOGRAM, March 23, 2026 (BSS) – During the festive Eid rush, large crowds have gathered at Patenga and Parki sea beach in Chattogram to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.

Thousands of people from Chattogram city and nearby areas have come together at the shoreline, transforming the coastal area into a lively hub of recreation and celebration.

The usually quiet Patenga and Parki sea beach during Ramadan has now become vibrant with the arrival of the Eid holiday rush.

Visitors are enjoying popular spots like Tunnel point and the north side of Karnaphuli tunnel, where the calming waves, sandy shores, and coastal breeze blend with festive cheer to create a joyful and celebratory atmosphere.

During the Eid holidays, shop owners have noticed a significant increase in the number of visitors, bringing a much-needed boost to their businesses after a quiet Ramadan period. They anticipate even more people to visit in the upcoming days, making this Eid season one of the busiest in recent years.

Visitors from various parts of Chattogram and its neighboring areas have been enjoying activities like sea bathing, beach cycling, and horse riding along the sandy shoreline.

Families and groups of friends have been gathering along the coast, creating lasting memories with the beautiful backdrop of the blue Bay of Bengal.

Tourists have expressed their joy at the festive atmosphere, with many mentioning that celebrating Eid by the sea with loved ones has made the occasion truly special. First-time visitors have described the experience as a perfect blend of natural beauty and emotional happiness.

To manage the increasing crowd, security and safety measures have been enhanced in the said area. Tourist Police and district administration have implemented a three-tier security system, with uniformed personnel, plainclothes teams, and intelligence units working in shifts to ensure the safety of visitors in the Patenga and Parki beach area.

To enhance safety, lifeguard teams and beach workers are stationed in high-risk areas, using red flags and loudspeaker warnings to indicate safe swimming zones. Their main goal is to ensure that tourists can enjoy sea bathing and recreation without any accidents or disruptions.

The district administration and law enforcement agencies have made extensive preparations for the holiday rush, including increased patrols and coordination among security units to maintain order and facilitate smooth tourist movement.
