DHAKA, March 28, 2026 (BSS) - On the occasion of Independence and National 
Day 2026, the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) conferred honorary commissions on 
nine personnel, recognizing their long service, professionalism and 
contributions.

A release of the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate stated 
this in the evening.

Under the guidance of Chief of Air Staff of the Bangladesh Air Force Air 
Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, three Honorary Flying Officers of the Air 
Force were officially conferred the title of Honorary Flight Lieutenant and 
six Master Warrant Officers were officially conferred the title of Honorary 
Flying Officer on the Independence Day-2026, it said.

The Air Commanders of the concerned bases or units were present as the chief 
guests and presented the honorary rank badges. 

This BAF Honorary Commissions will be effective from March 26, 2026, the ISPR 
added.
