DHAKA, Mar 28, 2026 (BSS)- State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Sultan Salauddin Tuku has expressed profound grief and sorrow at the death of Dilara Hafiz, wife of Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Hafiz Uddin Ahmed (Bir Bikram).

In a message of condolence, the State Minister said, "Dilara Hafiz, as a dedicated educationist, made significant contributions to the expansion and development of education in the country throughout her long career. Her contributions to the education sector will be remembered for long. Her death has deprived the nation of a skilled, responsible, and experienced educationist."

The State Minister prayed for the forgiveness of the departed soul and expressed deep sympathy to the members of the bereaved family.

Dilara Hafiz passed away while undergoing treatment at Singapore General Hospital today.
