Deputy Speaker vows impartial leadership to strengthen parliament

DHAKA, Mar 28, 2026 (BSS) - Jatiya Sangsad Deputy Speaker Barrister Kayser Kamal today vowed to serve impartially to make parliament effective, vibrant and the central forum of Bangladesh's politics.

He made the remarks during a courtesy visit to former Speaker and acting President, Muhammad Jamiruddin Sircar, at his Dhanmondi residence. 

The Deputy Speaker presented a bouquet and a crest, inquired about his health and wished him a long life.

Highlighting his commitment to parliamentary democracy, Kayser Kamal said he would ensure inclusive participation of government and opposition members, restoring parliament as the key platform of national politics. 

He also paid tribute to former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia and remembered those affected in anti-fascist movements and recent uprising.
