CUMILLA, March 28, 2026 (BSS) - Cumilla City Corporation (CCC) Administrator Yusuf Molla Tipu has reaffirmed his commitment to transforming Cumilla into a clean, livable and modern urban center, in line with the Prime Minister's directives.

He made the statement this morning while inaugurating mosquito control and city cleanliness drives in Ward No. 10.

Tipu noted that the city is home to approximately 1.5 million residents, but inadequate infrastructure, encroached footpaths and poor management have led to persistent challenges such as traffic congestion, waterlogging and public inconvenience.

To address these issues, he said, the city administration has undertaken comprehensive initiatives aimed at making Cumilla mosquito-free, cleaner and more environmentally friendly.

He also called on residents to actively cooperate with the authorities in the collective effort to build a clean and green city.
