KHULNA, Mar 30, 2026 (BSS) - The BNP-backed Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum panel achieved a clean sweep in the Khulna District Bar Association election, winning all 14 posts, including president and general secretary.
The election was held on Sunday in a smooth atmosphere, with results announced late at night by Election Commission Chairman, Advocate Sheikh Abdul Aziz.
Advocate Molla Mohammad Masum Rashid was elected president, while Advocate Molla Mashiur Rahman Nannu secured the post of general secretary. Mohsin Chowdhury and Mosharraf Hossain were elected as vice-presidents.
Among other office bearers, M M Towhiduzzaman was elected joint secretary, Joydeb Kumar Sarkar as library secretary, and Nurun Nahar Najmun Nesa Jeba as cultural and literary secretary.
The seven executive committee members elected are Mohammad Ashiquzzaman, Narayan Kumar Mondal, AFM Mustakuzzaman Mukta, Swarnali Das, Sheikh Sohan Islam, Shahjahan Thakur, and Shakira Ferdous Rimi.
Out of 1,202 registered voters, 1,056 cast their votes, marking a high voter turnout in the election.
