DHAKA, Apr 9, 2026 (BSS) - A mobile court of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-2) conducted an operation at the Agargaon Passport office this morning, handing down prison sentences to six members of a fraudulent broker network.

The operation, carried out from 9:30am to 10:30am, targeted brokers who deceived applicants by offering to complete passport forms, verify documents, or expedite passport issuance-sometimes using false papers-in exchange for money at the office and nearby banks.

According to a RAB-2 press release, the action was led by the RAB investigative team and Executive Magistrate Shah Md Jubayer.

Based on the confessions of the accused, the mobile court sentenced each of the six brokers to five days of imprisonment without parole, the release added.
