Recitation event featuring works of poet Rezauddin Stalin held in capital

DHAKA, April 18, 2026 (BSS) - A special recitation evening titled 'Rezauddin Stalin - Joti Chinhohin' was held in the capital, captivating audiences with performances based on the poems of poet Rezauddin Stalin.

Prime Minister's Adviser on Political and Industries Affairs Ruhul Kabir Rizvi joined the programme virtually as the chief guest, organized by Dhumketu at the auditorium of Bishwo Shahitto Kendro this evening.

The programme began at 6:00 pm with recitations from the poet's works, performed by noted recitation artists including Seema Islam, Tito Munshi, Enamul Haque Jewel, Iqbal Ahmed, Farhana Trina, Mahinur Mumu, Mahbubur Rahman Tunu, Farzana Ally and Mahi Farhana Nazia Afrin. The event was hosted by artist Akhtar.

A discussion was also held, where speakers including Matin Bairagi, Hasan Hafiz, Mohon Raihan, Aminul Islam, Sakhawat Tipu, Saikat Habib and Asad Kajol highlighted Stalin's distinct poetic voice and creativity.

The discussants said Stalin possesses a unique literary universe and extraordinary poetic talent, adding that his works have been translated into multiple languages, earning him international recognition. They said his individuality in tone and style sets him apart.

The event drew a full house audience, with applause filling the auditorium throughout the evening. Speakers also said that poetry can play a role in promoting peace, describing poets as ambassadors of harmony across nations.
