Helal Uddin appointed new DG of PMO

DHAKA, May 12, 2026 (BSS) - Joint Secretary Mohammad Helal Uddin has been appointed as the new Director General (DG) of the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard today.

Prior to the appointment, Helal Uddin had been serving as Joint Secretary at the Financial Institutions Division.

According to the notification, he has been instructed to be released from his current workplace and join the Prime Minister's Office by May 18, 2026.
