DHAKA, April 19, 2026 (BSS) - Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) and the South Asian Network on Economic Modeling (SANEM) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen strategic frameworks for generating decent employment opportunities.

The agreement was formalised by the executive leadership of both organisations in the presence of PKSF Chairman Zakir Ahmed Khan, said a press release.

PKSF Managing Director Md Fazlul Kader and SANEM Chairman Dr Bazlul Haque Khondker signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.

Since its establishment in 1990, PKSF has been working to generate employment through microfinance, mitigation of livelihood-related risks, and skills development initiatives.

As part of these efforts, PKSF has successfully implemented nearly 400 value chain development interventions in the microenterprise sector.

To further accelerate the achievement of its core objective of employment generation, PKSF recently formulated its Strategic Plan 2025-2030.

In line with this, to gain deeper insights into the quality of employment generated through PKSF's various interventions, the MoU was signed between PKSF and SANEM.

Speaking at the event, Zakir Ahmed Khan emphasized on the importance of fostering rapid growth of microenterprises to create time-befitting, productive, decent employment opportunities.

He highlighted PKSF's forward-looking, innovative initiatives and advised its employees to ensure high-quality implementation of these programs.
