54 arrested in Tejgaon division crackdown

DHAKA, April 19, 2026 (BSS) - The Tejgaon Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested a total of 54 individuals in connection with various criminal activities during a special drive conducted on Sunday.

The drive was carried out in several crime-prone areas under the division as part of routine operations. 

The information was confirmed by NM Nasiruddin, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Media and Public Relations), DMP.

Among those arrested, 16 were detained from Mohammadpur Police Station, seven from Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station, five from Adabor Police Station, two from Tejgaon Police Station, four from Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station, and 20 from Hatirjheel Police Station.

The arrested individuals include  - Hossain alias Shakil (25), Milon (34), Nayan (20), Abdullah Al Mamun (29), Ratna (35), Jerin (35), Kulsum (30), Achiya (40), Abul Hasnat Riyat (18), Russell Rubel Islam (31), Golam Dastagir Titas (45), Mominul Islam Mithu (33), Sagar (25), Shakil (20), Rakibul Hasan Rakib (26), Roman Khan (20), Swapan Bepari (30), Jahangir Hossain (45), Nanju (35), Shahidul Islam (22), Rabbi (21), Sojol Hawlader (22), Khairul Alam Milon (25), Yasin (21), Arab Shahi Arman (23), Shahin (18), Ahad (18), Zobayer Islam (21), Kalu Bepari (40), Rafiqul Islam (42), Monir Hossain Didar (38), Tanvir Islam (14), Pannan Prodhan (32), Shahin (34), Imran Fakir, Rubel Hossain, Helal (37), Tarek Sharif (25), Rubel (27), Tahmidul Islam (40), Sojib, Amzad Hossain (40), Hridoy Tanvir (23), Helal Gazi (30), Kazimuddin Kajol (35), Hazrat Ali (30), Milon (25), Akash Mia (24), Robiul Mia (22), Ashikur Rahman (30), Mala Begum (36), Saju Mia (36), Alamgir (40), and Imran Hossain alias Maruf (22).

Police said all the detainees have been sent to the court for legal proceedings.
