Fire breaks out in Demra ink factory

DHAKA, Apr 30, 2026 (BSS) - A fire broke out at a tin-shed ink manufacturing factory in Amulia Model Town area under Demra in Dhaka this morning.

According to media officer of Fire Service Anwarul Islam, the fire incident was received at 11:38 am, and fire service units reached the scene by 11:55 am. 

Two units from Demra Fire Station immediately began operations to bring the blaze under control.

To support the ongoing firefighting efforts, two additional units from Siddiqbazar Fire Station have been dispatched and are on their way to the spot.

No casualties have been reported so far. 

The cause of the fire and the extent of damage are yet to be ascertained.

Firefighting operations are ongoing, fire personnel added.
