DHAKA, April 30, 2026 (BSS)- CID police has arrested one fugitive suspect of Tanim murder after six years of the incident.

The arrested person was identified as Raihan Shuvo (20), son of Shahidul Islam Khokon of South Nazirpur village under Banaripara upazila of Barishal district.   

According to a CID press release, a team of CID Metro South, based on secret information arrested Shuvo from a house at Central Road under Kalabagan thana at today.

Tanim was killed in the attack of a group of miscreants near Hotel Sonargaon under Hatirjheel thana on December 15 in 2020. His father lodged a murder case with Hatirjheel thana in this connection.

Two accused of the case- Sabbir and Shayon- were arrested after the murder and based on their information Raihan Shuvo’s connection with the murder revealed.

Shuvo went into hiding immediately after the killing, CID police said.
