BCB, Ansar ink deal to strengthen security at stadiums across country

DHAKA, April 30, 2026 (BSS)—The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party to strengthen security arrangements at cricket stadiums across the country.

Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud of Ansar and Sayeed Ibrahim Ahmed, Member of the Ad Hoc Committee of BCB and Chairman of the Security Committee, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organisations at the Ansar Headquarters in Dhaka today.

BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury and Brigadier General Shameem (Retd), Head of Security, BCB were also present on the occasion.

The MoU is expected to enhance coordination between the two bodies and ensure improved safety and security measures during cricket matches and related events nationwide.
