DHAKA, April 30, 2026 (BSS) - The government has appointed Additional Secretary Md Shaugatul Alam as the Managing Director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL).

According to a notification issued today by the Ministry of Public Administration's Deputation-1 branch, Shaugatul Alam, Director General of NovoTheatre, has been transferred and appointed on deputation as MD of DMTCL under the Road Transport and Highways Division.

The order takes immediate effect and has been issued in the public interest, the notification added.
