Indian cumin worth over Tk 1.34 crore seized in Habiganj

HABIGANJ, May 10, 2026 (BSS) – The paramilitary Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has seized Indian cumin worth over Tk 1.34 crore in Habiganj.

A release of the BGB signed by 55 BGB Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Tanzilur Rahman said this today.

Based on secret information, the BGB team recovered a huge quantity of Indian cumin hidden inside the truck in the Muktijoddha Chattar area of Madhabpur upazila of Habiganj district on May 8 morning. 

The recovered cumin seeds are yet to handover to customs officials.
