1,628 absent, two expelled in SSC exams under Jashore board

KHULNA, May 10, 2026 (BSS) - A total of 1,628 students were absent and two examinees were expelled for adopting unfair means during the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations held under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Jashore on Sunday.

The examinations were held in Physics (Theoretical), History of Bangladesh and World Civilization and Finance and Banking. According to board sources, 1,11,723 students appeared in the examinations out of 1,13,351 registered candidates.

Two examinees were expelled on charges of malpractice during the examinations. One of the expelled students was from centre no. 320 in Narail district with roll number 269972. The other was from centre no. 367 in Shalikha upazila of Magura district with roll number 12964.

Controller of Examinations of the Jashore Education Board, Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Matin, confirmed the information this evening.
