Mobile court cuts illegal gas connections in Narsingdi

NARSINGDI, May 11, 2026 (BSS) - A mobile court today conducted a drive against illegal Titas gas connections in different areas of Satirpara and Madhabdi police station under Narsingdi Sadar upazila.

During the drive from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, illegal gas connections were disconnected and fines were imposed for various irregularities.

Sources said that connections were disconnected in different places for using gas through illegal connections and for using more burners than the approved number. At the same time, under the Bangladesh Gas Act, 2010, the mobile court filed 9 cases and imposed a total fine of Tk 173,000.

The drive was conducted by Nepal Kanti Deb, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate of the Narsingdi Deputy Commissioner’s Office.
