SSPL SC, Spandan take joint lead

DHAKA, May 11, 2026 (BSS)-SSPL Sporting Club and Spandan Bangladesh took 
joint lead in the points table with six points after the 3rd round Second 
Division Chess League held at Chess Federation hall-room today. 

Three teams are shared the second position with five points. The teams are 
Mohakhali Prodip Sangha, Golapbag Chess Club and Monmohon Chess Club, 
Mymensingh.

In the day's third round, SSPL Sporting Club defeated Debonair Chess Club by 
2.5-1.5 game points, Spondon Bangladesh defeated Bangladesh Police Platinum 
Chess Club by 2.5-1.5 game points, Mahakhali Prodip Sangha drew 2-2 with 
Golapbag Chess Club, Monmohon Chess Club, Mymensingh beat Bangladesh Police 
Prime Chess Club by 2.5-1.5 game points, Asad Chess Club drew with Orham 
Chess Team by 2-2 points. ACPB, Jhenaidah defeated Afroze Chess World by 3.5-
0.5 game points, Chess Code Academy, Chattogram beat Batiaghata Chess 
Association by 3-1 game points, Next Move Chess Club defeated South Point 
Sports Club-Chess by 3.5-0.5 game points, Mohammadpur Chess Club defeated 
Goalundo Chess Club, Rajbari by 4-0 game points, Dabar Troiye Agrage Smaran 
Sangha beat Manha's Castle Junior by 3-1 game points, Dhaka University Chess 
Club split point with The Innovators by 2-2 game points, Malibag Chess Club 
split point with Spandan Dhaka by 2-2 game points, Bangladesh Police Gold 
Chess Club defeated Checkmate King by 3-1 game points, Chess Club of Daffodil 
International University beat Shaukat Osman Smriti Parishad by 3-1 game 
points and Next Move Sporting Club crushed SSP Sporting Club by 4-0 game 
points.
