DHAKA, May 17, 2026 (BSS) – A total of 22 suspected criminals involved in various criminal activities were arrested during special drives conducted by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

“They were involved in various crimes under Jatrabari Police Station area,” said a press release issued by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) media division here today.

It said that police produced them before the court.

The arrested are - Mominul Islam Babu (45), Md Rocky, Md Amir, Md Sumon alias Musa (36), Sabbir Ahmed Asif (28), Md Jasmine Akhter, Md Shukkur Ali, Nazrul Islam, Alamgir Hossain, Md Saiful Islam Robi, Md Rajib (30), Rifat (29), Md Anwar (38), Md Habibur Rahman (50), Md Shah Alam (45), Raju Ahmed (22), Md Arman (30), Md Sajal (30), Md Milon (30), Md Russell (42), Md Rafiq (40) and Md Habibur Rahman (35).

The DMP media division official said that these individuals were arrested yesterday (Saturday, May 16) after conducting special raids in various crime-prone areas.

It said that among the arrestees, three were arrested in old cases, seven in arrest warrants and 12 in mobile courts.
