DHAKA, May 17, 2026 (BSS) - All subordinate courts and tribunals across the country will remain closed for Eid-ul-Azha vacation from May 25 to May 31.

The courts, however, will remain open on May 23 and 24, a High Court division notification said.

The government on May 14 announced a weeklong holiday on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha from May 25 to May 31, but said emergency services would remain outside the scope of the holiday.

“All government, semi-government, autonomous, semi-autonomous and private offices across the country will remain closed from Monday, May 25, 2026 to Sunday, May 31, 2026 on the occasion of upcoming Holy Eid-ul-Azha, 2026,” a public administration ministry statement said on that day.
