Yasser Khan condoles death of JCD leader Suja

MYMENSINGH, May 21, 2026 (BSS) - State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Yasser Khan Choudhury has expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of AKM Sujauddin Suja, General Secretary of Mymensingh North District Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD).

The state minister expressed his condolences in a press statement issued this afternoon.

He recalled his last meeting with Suja on May 16, 2026, during the inauguration of a family card program in Nandail, where Suja had traveled from Phulpur to attend the event alongside his fellow activists.

"I am deeply saddened by the passing of AKM Sujauddin Suja. With the death of this hardworking student leader, Mymensingh Chhatra Dal has lost a fearless soldier," the state minister said.

He prayed for the eternal peace for the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members and his colleagues.

Earlier today, around 8:00 am, AKM Sujauddin Suja breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital after suffering a heart attack. He was 31. 

He was the son of AKM Fazlul Haque, a resident of the Amuakanda area in Phulpur upazila, Mymensingh.

His death has cast a shadow of grief over the leaders and activists of Mymensingh BNP and its associate organizations. 

Besides, BNP Joint Secretary General Syed Emran Saleh Prince, Mymensingh-4 (Sadar) MP Abu Wahab Akand Wahid, Mymensingh-5 (Muktagacha) MP Zakir Hossain Bablu, Mymensingh City Corporation Administrator Rukunuzzaman Rokon, Zila Parishad Administrator and President of Mymensingh North District BNP Professor Enayet Ullah Kalam, Joint Convener Motahar Hossain Talukder, and District North Chhatra Dal President Nuruzzaman Sohel also expressed their profound grief over the untimely demise of the student leader.
