CCC evicts illegal establishments under flyover

CHATTOGRAM, June 15, 2026 (BSS) - The mobile court of the Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) has removed unauthorized structures located beneath the flyover from the WASA intersection to the Bahaddarhat intersection in the city.

The operation, conducted today, resulted in the dismantling of several long-standing illegal settlements and establishments under the flyover. The drive was led by CCC Executive Magistrate Chaiti Sarvabidya.

Officials of the Chattogram City Corporation said illegal encroachments and settlements under the flyover were creating challenges in urban management, sanitation and public movement. To address these issues, regular eviction drives are being conducted.

The operation was conducted with the participation of officers and employees from relevant departments of the Chattogram City Corporation, along with members of law enforcement agencies.
