DHAKA, June 18, 2026 (BSS) - Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) Central Joint General Secretary Md. Tariqul Islam Tariq has extended financial assistance to a migrant worker who was seriously injured in a construction accident in Malaysia and is currently undergoing treatment in the capital.

Tariqul visited the injured worker at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) today and inquired about his health condition.

According to hospital sources, the worker sustained severe injuries after falling from the second floor of an under-construction building while working in Malaysia. Following initial treatment there, he returned to Bangladesh and was admitted to DMCH.

He was later transferred to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, where he has been receiving treatment for the last five months.

During the visit, Tariq spoke with the attending physicians and sought updates on the worker's ongoing treatment and recovery.

He later provided financial assistance to support the continuation of the treatment and assured the victim and his family of further cooperation if necessary.

Several JCD leaders and activists were present during the visit.
