DHAKA, June 25, 2026 (BSS) – Police have arrested 42 suspected criminals through special and regular operations conducted in the city’s Mugda, Jatrabari, and Shahjahanpur areas.

According to a press release issued by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today, the arrestees were allegedly involved in various crimes under the jurisdictions of Mugda, Jatrabari, and Shahjahanpur police stations.

The release said Mugda Model Police Station conducted special and routine operations in different crime-prone areas on Wednesday and arrested 10 people, while Jatrabari Police Station arrested 19 and Shahjahanpur Police Station arrested 13 from their respective jurisdictions.

The DMP press release said the arrested individuals were produced before the court.

It added that the arrested persons were facing arrest warrants and regular criminal cases.
