DHAKA, June 25, 2026 (BSS) - Power Division under the ministry of power, energy and mineral resources today asked prepaid meter users to update their meters through tokens having 200 or above digits as revised electricity prices with effect from June.

The power division issued a press release here saying that consumers whose prepaid meters require a token update of 200 digits or more should follow the instructions available on the websites of power distribution companies respectively.

It also said that the central customer service hotline of the power division can be reached by dialling 16999 in this regard.

The release requested consumers to seek assistance through the designated hotline services.

The hotline number of the distribution companies are-Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) - 16200, Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB) - 16899, Dhaka Power Distribution Company Ltd (DPDC)-  16116, Dhaka Electric Supply Company Ltd (DESCO) - 16120, Northern Electricity Supply Company Ltd (NESCO)- 16603, and West Zone Power Distribution Company Ltd (WZPDCL) - 16117.
