DHAKA, June 29, 2026 (BSS) - The activities of 4,883 adolescent clubs across the country will continue as usual from July 1 until further directives are issued.

The clubs are being operated under the ‘Establishment of Adolescent Clubs’ project, implemented by the Department of Women Affairs under the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, according to a press release issued here yesterday.

According to the first revised Development Project Proposal (DPP) of the project, its tenure was fixed from April 2018 to June 2026.

However, following the decision of the 13th Project Steering Committee (PSC) meeting, the process for the second revised DPP is currently underway with the aim of extending the project tenure for another six months, from July 2026 to December 2026.

In this regard, directives have been issued to continue ongoing training, awareness programmes, cultural activities, life skills development and other regular activities at the 4,883 adolescent clubs in all districts across the country without interruption.

To implement the directive, all district deputy directors, upazila women affairs officers, field supervisors, gender promoters, and recitation and music teachers have been instructed to take necessary measures.
