Inland river ports asked to hoist warning signal 1

DHAKA, July 4, 2026 (BSS) – The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has asked inland river ports in eight region to hoist warning signal number 1 following a forecast of stormy weather.

According to the weather forecast for the country's inland river ports,  from 3pm today to till 1 am , the regions of Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, Cox's Bazar and Sylhet may experience temporary rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty or squally winds blowing from the west or northwest at the speeds of 45 to 60 km per hour.

The inland river ports in these regions have been asked to hoist warning signal number 1.
