DHAKA, July 9, 2026 (BSS) - Deputy Secretary of the Information and Communication Technology Division Abdullah Al Mamun has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner (DC) and District Magistrate of Sylhet.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification today (July 9) appointing him to the post.

Earlier, on June 28, Cumilla Deputy Commissioner Mu. Reza Hasan had been appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Sylhet. However, he ultimately did not join the post.
