National women's football team off to Jordan

DHAKA, May 26, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh national women's football team departed today (Monday) for Jordan to take part in two international FIFA friendly matches during the official FIFA Women's International Match Window.

Bangladesh will play their first match against Indonesia on May 31 and the second against hosts Jordan on June 3. Both opponents are ahead of Bangladesh on paper.

The team is playing this series as part of its preparations for the upcoming AFC Women's Asian Cup Qualifiers, where Bangladesh will face Myanmar, Bahrain, and Turkmenistan.

Bangladesh Squad

Goalkeepers: Rupna Chakma, Meghla Rani, and Ferdousi Akter Shonale.

Defenders: Sheuli Azim, Shamsunnahar Sr, Afeida Khandaker (Captain), and Joynab Bibi Rita.

Midfielders: Monika Chakma, Maria Manda, Munki Akter, Sapna Rani, Kohati Kisku, Halima Akter, and Shanti Mardi.

Forwards: Ritu Porna Chakma, Tohura Khatun, Shamsunnahar Jr, Mosammat Sagorika, Shaheda Akter Ripa, Sauravi Akonda Prity, Mosammat Sultana, Nobirun Khatun, and Umehla Marma.
