BKSP emerges champions in Invitational Judo

DHAKA, May 26, 2025 (BSS)- Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP) emerged 
champions in the BKSP Cup Invitational International Judo Competition that 
concluded at BKSP Savar today (Monday).

BKSP secured a total of 24 medals including six gold, eight silver and 10 
bronze. The Nepal Judo Association team finished as the runner-up with a 
total of 11 medals including five gold, one silver and five bronze.

BKSP Director (training) Colonel Md. Golam Mabud Hasan was the chief guest of 
the closing ceremony and distributed the prizes.

BKSP College Principal Lieutenant Colonel Md. Imran Hasan, Deputy Director 
(administration) Md. Chagir Hossain and Cricket Department Head Coach Montu 
Kumar Dutta were also present in the prize distribution ceremony.

BKSP's gold medal winners are Md. Zahid Hasan (-45-kg) weight category, Md. 
Wadud Rahman Roni (-50-kg) weight category, Apru Shai Marma (-55-kg) weight 
category, Remy Hasi (-44-kg) weight category, Anika Akter (-63-kg) weight 
category and Fabiha Bushra (kg) weight category.

A total of 169 judokas from Nepal, Bhutan and host Bangladesh took part for 
52 medals in 13 weight categories.
 
Apart from four teams of BKSP various clubs, sports organisations, 
universities, Bangladesh Army and Ansar teams represented for Bangladesh in 
the meet.
