DHAKA, May 27, 2025 (BSS)- Abahani Limited finished second position in the Bashundhara Group Bangladesh Premier League football defeating Brothers Union Club by 3-0 goals in their last match of the league held at Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla today (Tuesday).

In the day's match, defender Assaduzzaman Bablu, Brazilian midfielder Raphael Augusto and forward Mirajul Islam scored one goal each for Abahani Limited who led the first half by 1-0 goal.

Bablu put Abahani ahead in the 24th minute while after the breather Raphael increased the margin double scoring the second goal for Abahani Limited in the 51st minute of the match.

Mirujul completed the winners' tally scoring the third goal in the 86th minute of the match.

With the day's win, the traditional sky blue Dhanmondi outfit Abahani Limited secured 35 points from 18 matches while the all-orange Gopibagh outfit Brothers Union Club finished fifth position in the league table with 27 points playing the same number of outings.
