DHAKA, May 28, 2025 (BSS)- Bangladesh national women’s football team forward Tohura Khatun was found upbeat to give their maximum efforts to win against Indonesia.

We have no previous experience of playing against Indonesia and going to play against them  for the first time…… our main goal is to win the match and we’ll try our level best to give maximum effort against Indonesia,” Tohura said through a video message during the team’s second day’s practice session at Jawa ground in Amman, Jordan today (Wednesday).

She said the second day’s training session was good compared to the first day on the grassy ground and the weather was quite favorable, and all members of the team are fit at the moment.

Team’s assistant coach Mahbubur Rahman Litu said the girls are fit and completed their training session on the second day. 

He said the girls are quite motivated ahead of the first match and he hoped that the girls would show their good performance in the tournament.

The assistant coach also said that it’ll be a good opportunity for her girls to learn something from this tournament.
     
Bangladesh will play two international FIFA friendly matches during the official FIFA women’s international match window.

The girls in red and green will play their first match against Indonesia on May 31 and their second match against host Jordan on July 3. Both teams are ahead of Bangladesh in terms of paper and pen.

Bangladesh is going to play this series as part of their preparations for the upcoming AFC Women's Asian Cup Qualifiers, where they will face Myanmar, Bahrain and Turkmenistan.
