 DHAKA, May 28, 2025 (BSS) - The 7th National Surfing competition begins Friday (May 30) at Kolatoli sea beach in Cox's Bazar, said a press release.

     Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) managing director Mahbub Morshed is expected to inaugurate the two-day meet as the chief guest.

     Cox's Bazar district press club president Mahbubur Rahman and district sports association member secretary Md Alauddin will preset there as special guests.

     Nearly 150 surfers will compete in men's and women's section of the two-day meet, which will be held by the initiative of Bangladesh Surfing Association.

     Like the previous year, cash award will be given to those surfers who will finish first to third position in the meet.

     Meanwhile, an event has been kept for foreigners in the competition.
