DHAKA, May 28, 2025 (BSS) - Pacer Shoriful Islam became the fourth Bangladeshi bowlers to complete 50-wicket haul in T20 format.

His feat came during the first T20 International against Pakistan at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium today when he trapped Fakhar Zaman leg-before for 1.

Shakib Al Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed earlier reached the 50-wicket mark for Bangladesh.

Shakib and Mustafizur are the only two Bangladeshi bowler to reach 100 T20 wickets milestone with the former still leading the bowling chart with 149 wickets.

Since Shakib has already retired from this format, Mustafizur who has now 134 wickets under his belt could overtake him very soon.

Taskin Ahmed has now so far 82 wickets in his kitty.

Shoriful, however, completed the milestone in his 45th match. 

Later he added one more wicket to his tally when he denied Shadab Khan his half-century and finished finish with 2-32.

Meanwhile, Mahedi Hasan is in line to be the next bowler to complete 50-wicket milestone. After taking one wicket today against Pakistan, he took his tally to 49.
