NEW YORK, Sept 13, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - New York slugger Aaron Judge belted his 362nd career home run in he first inning of a game in Boston Friday to surpass Yankees legend Joe DiMaggio on the franchise's all-time list.

Judge smacked a pitch from Red Sox hurler Lucas Giolito 468 feet over the Green Monster outfield wall at Fenway Park, his 47th home run of the season.

Now ahead of him on the storied franchise's career homers list are only Babe Ruth, who hit 659 of his 714 as a Yankee, along with Mickey Mantle (536) and Lou Gehrig (493).

Judge had tied DiMaggio with two first-inning home runs on Thursday against the Detroit Tigers at Yankee Stadium -- where US President Donald Trump was in attendance as the country commemorated the September 11, 2001 attacks.

Two days earlier, he had moved past Yogi Berra with his 358th homer.

"Just two legends, greats of the game, great all-time Yankees," Judge said after Thursday's 9-3 victory over the Tigers.

"It's pretty cool being on a list with them, but I think it's even cooler getting a win."
