149 players from 19 countries registrar for ITF Tennis Tournament in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, Sept 16, 2025 (BSS) - A total of 149 players from 19 countries have so far registered to take part in the International Tennis Tournament 2025, scheduled to begin at the Rajshahi Tennis Complex on October 10.

Among the registered players, 110 are males and 39 are females.

These were revealed in a preparatory meeting for the tournament held at the tennis complex with Commissioner of Rajshahi division Khondoker Azim Ahmed in the chair on Monday evening.
Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Muhammad Abu Sufiyan, Deputy Commissioner of Rajshahi Afia Akhter and others concerned joined the meeting.

In the meeting, various issues, including tournament operation, players’ accommodation, security, tennis court renovation and protocol, were discussed elaborately.
Commissioner Azim Ahmed said the tournament is a matter of image of Rajshahi as well as the country. All possible necessary measures should be taken for successful holding of the event. Formation of necessary sub-committees must be completed as soon as possible.
