DHAKA, Oct 25, 2025 (BSS) - Left-arm spinner Abu Hasim, one of the findings of
the NCL T20, carried his form to the four-day version of National Cricket
League (NCL) as Rangpur found them in favourable position against Dhaka on
Day 1 of their first round game at Sylhet Academy Ground today.

Hasim who took second highest 12 wickets in nine matches of NCL T20 at an
envious economy rate of 5.03, took three wickets for 47 runs after bowling 18
overs in this match, helping the side wrap up Dhaka innings for 221.

But veteran Marshall Ayub dealt with Hasim better to hit 105, a knock that
was instrumental in taking the side past 200.

Youngster Jishan Alam contributed 71 and added 153 with Marhsal to help the
side recover from the shaky 13-3.

After the partnership was broken, Dhaka lost seven wickets for 55 runs.
Mehedi Hasan and Nasir Hossain took two wickets apiece to complement Hasim

Rangpur ended the day at 65-2, still trailing by 156 runs. Opener Abdullah Al
Mamun was batting on 33 while Hasim who came as nightwatchman is yet to
score.
