
DHAKA, Nov 5, 2025 (BSS)- The Afghanistan Under-19 team leveled the five-
match series with an emphatic 102-run win over hosts Bangladesh Under-19 in
the third youth ODI at Rajshahi Divisional Stadium today.
Bangladesh won the first match by five runs on DLS method before the second
game was washed out.
Electing to bat first, Afghanistan put on a respectable 275-7, thanks to an
unbeaten 68 from their captain Mahboob Khan.
Uzairullah Niazai made 31 while opener Osman Sadat was the other notable
contributor with 26.
Al Fahad and captain Azizul Hakim Tamim grabbed two wickets apiece for
Bangladesh.
While one of Afghanistan was able to make a half-century, Bangladesh got two
half-centurion in Kalam Siddiki Alin and Rizan Hossan. But despite their
effort, Bangladesh were bowled out for a meager 173 in 37.2 overs, largely
due to the abysmal batting from the others.
Kalam made team-best 71 off 79 with eight fours and one six while Rizan hit
50 ball-51 with three fours and four sixes.
Opener Zawad Abrar added 25. Apart from these three, no batters could reach
double digits with three batters bagging ducks.
Zaitullah Shaheen was the wrecker-in-chief with 4-40 while Wahidullah Zadran
complemented him with 3-23.
