DHAKA, Nov 6, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Governing Council of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the confirmed list of participating franchises for the forthcoming edition of the BPL T20.

The change of name of BPL franchises when ownership is changed is not new, something which even annoys the fans.

Considering the repeated changes of name, the BCB this time, itself has decided the names of the BPL teams.

The 12th edition of BPL is going to be held with five teams as the BCB had announced who owns which team two days ago. The names of the teams were officially announced today.

Following the completion of the franchise registration and evaluation process, the BPL Governing Council has approved five franchises for participation in the tournament.

The names of two of the five teams remain unchanged - Dhaka Capitals and Rangpur Riders. Dhaka Capitals will be managed by Remark Harlen, Rangpur Riders by Bashundhara Kings. Triangle Services Limited has now acquired the ownership of the Chattogram franchise, and the team will be named Chattogram Royals.
The Rajshahi team owned by Nabil Group will be named Rajshahi Warriors. In addition, Sylhet Titans will play under the ownership of 'Cricket with Sami'.

Although the BCB has initially given ownership to five franchises, they will not be allowed to participate in the players’ draft unless the board receives a bank guarantee of Tk 10 crore within five working days, a BCB official said.

The players' draft of the BPL will be held on November 17. The 12th season of the BPL is scheduled to start on December 19 with the final on January 16.

BPL Teams:
