
DHAKA, Nov 15, 2025 (BSS) - Rajshahi Division's Sunzamul Islam shone with a century on the opening day of the fourth round of the National Cricket League (NCL), a day largely dominated by bowlers across venues nationwide.
Rajshahi vs Dhaka:
Primarily known for his bowling, Sunzamul hit 112 off 181 balls, including 13 boundaries, to steer Rajshahi to 275 against Dhaka Division at the Rajshahi Divisional Stadium.
Coming in at No.3 after openers Sabbir Hossain (17) and Tanzid Hasan Tamim (7) fell early, Sunzamul rescued the innings from a precarious 24-3.
He forged crucial partnerships, adding 50 runs with Captain Towhid Hridoy (32) and 70 with Sabbir Rahman (47), before guiding the lower order.
Sunzamul was eventually the ninth wicket to fall. At stumps, Abdur Rahman was unbeaten on 3, with Wasi Siddique on 1.
For Dhaka, Ashraful Islam claimed 4-71, while Salahuddin Shakib took 3-48.
Mymensingh vs Chattogram:
Mymensingh recovered from a shaky start to reach 271-8 at stumps against Chattogram at Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Cricket Stadium, Chattogram.
Aich Mollah scored 65 and Suvagata Hom 54, both contributing to half-century stands that steadied the innings.
Mymensingh were 85-4 after early losses, but partnerships helped stabilize the team, with Arif Ahmed on 36 and Maruf Mridha on 22 at stumps, sharing an unbeaten 58-run stand for the eighth wicket.
Chattogram's offspinner Nayeem Hasan took 3-77, while Irfan Hossain picked up 2-60.
Barishal vs Rangpur:
Pacer Robiul Haque starred with a five-wicket haul as Rangpur bowled out Barishal for 196 at Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra.
Robiul claimed 5-25, with Mukidul Islam Mugdho taking 3-46. Nobin Islam and Rishad Hossain also chipped in with one wicket each.
Barishal's Fazle Mahmud top-scored with 80 off 133 balls, supported by Salman Emon (27) and Shamsul Islam Anik (23) as the side neared 200.
In reply, Rangpur lost openers Abdullah Al Mamun (12) and Jahid Javed (2) early, finishing the day at 43-2 with Nobin Islam unbeaten on 21 and Naeem Islam on 6.
