Aminul emerges undefeated champion

DHAKA, Nov 19, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Navy FIDE Master Khandaker Aminul Islam emerged undefeated champion in the First Street Blitz Chess tournament with seven points from seven games held at Central Chess Club in the city’s Uttara today.

Bangladesh Navy's Fide Master Md. Sharif Hossain became the runner-up with six points also playing the same number of matches.

Sadharan Insurance Candidate Master Md. Abu Hanif finished third and Javed Al Azad became the fourth with 5-5 points each after their position were decided  in a tie-breaking system.

FIDE Master Subrata Biswas, Tahmid Sadman, Ali Hossain, FIDE Master Syed Mahfuzur Rahman, Babul Mallick, Moniruzzaman Masud, Siam Chowdhury and Camndidate Master Sohel Chowdhury have finished fifth to twelfth respectively with five points each following tie-breaking system.

A total of fifty seven chess players from across the country including four FIDE Masters and two Candidate Masters, participated in this competition,  organized by Uttara Central Chess Club.
