DHAKA, Nov 27, 2025 (BSS)- Ten-men Abahani Limited Dhaka registered their first win in the United Healthcare Bangladesh Football League (BFL) beating Bangladesh Police Football Club by 2-0 goals held at Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla today (Friday).

The breakthrough came for Abahani Limited in the 25th minute when Malian forward Souleymane Diabate scored the first goal converting a spot kick.

Midfielder Enamul Islam Gazi doubled the lead scoring the second goal for Abahani in the 43rd minute of the match.

Alamgir Mollah of Abahani Limited got the marching order by the referee following his double yellow cards.

After the breather, Abahani Limited however got several scoring chances but failed to convert any due to lack of proper finishing.

With this win, the traditional sky blue Dhanmondi outfit Abahani Limited raised their tally with four points from four matches while Bangladesh Police Football Club remained at their previous collection of five points playing the same number of matches.

Meanwhile, in the remaining fourth round matches on the following day (Saturday), Fakirerpool Young Men's Club face holders Mohammedan Sporting Club at Shaheed Miraj-Tapan Stadium in Manikganj, PWD Sports Club meet Brothers Union Club at Shaheed Barkat Stadium in Gazipur and Bashudhara Kings face old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society at Bashundra Kings Arena in the capital.
